Interlaken lies in the Bernese Oberland on an alluvial plain, between Lake Thun and Lake Brienz and one of the most beautiful vacation destinations in Switzerland, presided over the three mighty mountains, Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau. Our tours can offer multiple options as below or can be further customized to uniquely fit your individual requirements, time and budget.

Tour of Bern
Your fascinating day will begin from the door-step of your hotel in Zurich at 08:30 AM to visit Switzerland’s capital, Bern. It’s the most well preserved medieval city, not many city has managed to retain their historical sites just quite as Bern. It’s is the fourth-most populous city in Switzerland which has it’s own charm and a lot to offer its visitors. Upon arrival in Bern you will first enjoy a relaxing coffee break at a hill-top restaurant providing a magnificent view of the capital city and it’s stunning landscape.
After a coffee break, enjoy your visit to the most charming medieval town, a designated UNESCO World Cultural Heritage Site, visit the marvel at the late Gothic Cathedral, stroll under the characteristic arcades to the clock tower (Zytglogge) and the Parliament building. On this tour, we will drive through all the top attractions in the main city center of Bern.
A ship cruise you’ll cherish lifelong!
After your picture taking tour of Bern, we shall depart Bern for another fun and exciting experience, and this time, you will board a ship for a 26 minutes of most relaxing and memorable ship cruise at Lake Thun, surrounded by gorgeous Bernese alps and landscape. Meet your guide back in Spiez, a beautiful town nestled between hills and vineyards and dominated by a magnificent castle. Follow your guide to a best in class cafe-restaurant with the most beautiful and breath-taking view – a perfect place for a very memorable family lunch (no presence of foreign tourists, mostly locals). It’s also a great place to capture stunningly beautiful, memorable vacation photos that most visitors surely do not have in their vacation album, but you surely will.
Visiting the region of 72 waterfall
Following your relaxing lunch, enjoy one of the most scenic, off-the-beaten path journey to visit the natural wonders in the region of 72 waterfalls, Europe’s largest subterranean waterfalls. It’s may not be possible to see all the waterfalls but visiting the Trümmelbach and Staubach falls are a must visit.
The Trümmelbach Fall
The Trümmelbach Falls are a series of ten glacier-fed waterfalls inside the mountain made accessible by a tunnel-funicular (built in 1913), stairs, and illumination. The fall of Trummelbach alone carries 20’000 liters of melt-water per second, coming from the massive glacier of 3 mountain-peaks, the Jungfrau, Eiger and Mönch and is one of the most impressive and must see place to visit. It’s no ordinary fall and is definitely a must visit, once in a lifetime! After this, we will depart and visit yet another well known fall in the region known as Staubach Fall in the region of Lauterbrunnen.
Valley of Lautherbrunnen
After your visit to Trummelbach, we will arrive at Lauterbrunnen, situated in one of the most impressive valleys in the Alps, between gigantic rock faces and mountain peaks. ‘Lauter Brunnen’ (‘many fountains’) with its 72 thundering waterfalls, secluded valleys, colorful alpine meadows and lonely mountain inns, is one of the biggest nature conservation areas in Switzerland, a perfect place for memorable vacation photos.
Visiting Interlaken
Following your visit to Lauterbrunnen and Trummelbach Fall you will be heading to Interlaken for a relaxing drinks and visiting the town of Interlaken. Stroll around the shops in Interlaken and enjoy the atmosphere of Interlaken with hotels, shops and restaurants, casino and of course, the magnificent Jungfraujoch mountain as a backdrop.
Departing for Zurich: We shall depart Interlaken around 5:30 PM to arrive back in Zurich around 7:30 PM, perfect time to go for dinner. Alternatively, you may decide to enjoy Interlaken a bit longer and return to Zurich after dinner, the choice is yours.
Overnight stay: We recommend an overnight stay in Interlaken or nearby towns if you wish to visit Mt. Jungfrau and Grindelwald the next day.
Duration
The tour is scheduled to start from the door-step of your hotel in Zurich at 08:30 AM and expected to end at around 7:30 PM. The tour duration is approximately 11 hours but this also will include coffee and lunch breaks (2 – 2.5 hours).

The Region of 72 Waterfall and Trummelbach
Your journey will begin at 08:00 AM from your hotel in Zurich towards Lauterbrunnen. Take a very scenic journey from Zurich and stopping at to few breath-taking photographic vantage points you arrive at the Trümmelbach Fall, part of 72 waterfall and Europe’s largest subterranean waterfalls.
Upon arrival at the Trummelbach, you will enjoy a 30 minutes coffee break before visiting this jaw-dropping place. The Trümmelbach fall alone carries 20’000 liters of melt-water per second, coming from the massive glacier of 3 mountain-peaks, the Jungfrau, Eiger and Mönch and is one of the most impressive fall to visit (closed during winter).
Lauterbrunnen and Staubach Fall
After your visit to Trummelbach, we will arrive at Lauterbrunnen, situated in one of the most impressive valleys in the Alps, between gigantic rock faces and mountain peaks. ‘Lauter Brunnen’ (‘many fountains’) with its 72 thundering waterfalls, secluded valleys, colorful alpine meadows and lonely mountain inns, is one of the biggest nature conservation areas in Switzerland. From here you will also being your unforgettable journey to the Mt. Jungfraujoch.
Car-free Wengen
Our tour is carefully organized for you in such a way that you should have adequate time to enjoy a relaxing lunch in Wengen, a 100% car free and post-card picture like village before you begin your continued journey to the top of Jungfraujoch. Wengen has attracted tourists since the Edwardian times and indeed a charming place for a nice break, during a journey to the top of Europe.
Top of Europe – Jungfraujoch (11’371.39 feet)
With snow crunches under your feet, and the view that nearly takes your breath away – on one side the view of the Mittelland up to the Vosges, on the other the million years old, the famous Aletsch glacier, bordered by four thousand metre peaks. Standing on the Jungfraujoch at 11’371.39 feet high, you will feel the whole Europe under your feet.
What to expect at Jungfraujoch?
There’s a plenty of joyful and fun things to do at the top of Europe; A lift takes you up at 117 meters further up to the Sphinx observatory for a spectacular view of the Bernese alps and the surrounding landscape. You will enjoy a 360° full panorama view here, both from the terrace and from the comfort of a building with panoramic windows, while enjoy a coffee with Swiss delicacy. The Ice Palace with many wonderful ice sculptures, is once in a lifetime experience too, while in Summer, sledging down is a must try for many young and the braves.
There are multiple restaurants specialized in variety of International cuisines and of course, at the Lindt Chocolate heaven, one can learn about the history of chocolates and how it’s made; there are also several exhibitions and informative multi-media shows. If you go out in the snow, you will get to experience, 1 million years old and Europe largest glacier, Grosser Aletsch Glacier, the jewel of UNESCO’s Jungfrau-Aletsch World Heritage Site.
After your fun time in the Top of Europe, you will take a return journey to the town of Grindelwald.
Grindelwald
Grindelwald lies in the foot of Mt. Jungfraujoch and is one of the renowned ski-resort in Switzerland. It’s also a base for mountain-climbing ascents up the iconic north face of Eiger Mountain. Gletscherschlucht, a glacial gorge just outside Grindelwald, features paths with interpretive signage, waterfalls and striated limestone walls. We shall drive through Grindelwald and make few stops for some stunning photo-shooting before departing for Zurich.
A scenic journey towards Zurich
Following your visit to the region of Interlaken and Jungfraujoch you we will take a scenic journey towards Zurich with possible stop at varies panoramic vantage points providing breath-taking views and amazing photo opportunities.
Note: This program is not a fixed one and can be fully customized. There are many excursions and activities offered in the Jungfrau and the region. Depending on individual interests and most importantly, weather condition, your guide will propose alternatives to make your trip to the region most exciting and a unique experience.
