Amazing Winter Colmar & Eguisheim Tour My daughter and I had an amazing day with Sal yesterday. Driving into France from Zurich to the beautiful towns of Colmar and Eguisheim. Sal was extraordinarily generous with his time and information. We would never have visited both towns without Sals recommendation. If you find Sal, you're in for the best tour and moments of your life! Easy communication, non-touristic hotspots, he made me feel like a local and that's exactly how I wanted to travel, however in a luxurious way and comfortable way. Amazing Vacation My wife and I spent 4 days with Sal. When he picked us up at the hotel the first thing he said was I will treat you like family, And did he ever. It takes about 10 minutes to figure out what a genuine man he is. He went out of his way to change our itinerary because of a rain storm. I booked this tour for the first real day of my Switzerland trip and I’m so glad I did! It gave me a chance to revisit places from this tour and get recommendations from Sal about other sites to see and places to eat. This was especially helpful since, while we visited every location you could every dream of, there were certain spots that were so peaceful and lovely that I definitely wanted more time there.

We started with a gorgeous early morning view of Lucerne before heading to Lake Lugano, where the epilogue of the series takes place. In seeing the idyllic view from Yoon Se-ri and Ri Jeong-hyeok’s home, I was taken aback by the beauty of Switzerland. It is a perfect first stop for it’s view of the lake and mountains, drinking fountain, and general Swiss feel. For being early March, the Landing Stage was a little busy! There was a line for photos that only got longer when the ferry arrived, so picture taking was quick but Sal handled it with expert precision. It looks just as picturesque it did in the show, so I recommend going back on a weekday to fully embrace the serenity of the scene. I was grateful that Sal saw how much I loved being there and guided me over to another gorgeous area where the opening credits were filmed and you have a view of a castle. But the real highlight for me was Grindelwald First. It was a beyond thrilling experience to go from grassy spring to a snow-filled mountain top and do the Cliff Walk. Funnily enough, with all the CLOY sites I saw, THIS is what I always tell people about! I’m so glad Sal included this in our day trip and made it our lunch stop so we could enjoy the mountain views. We ended the day with Sigriswil right around sunset and I could not ask for a better finale to my incredible trip. Sal really knows how to deliver memory-making moments!

I get so nervous getting my picture taken, especially at important locations like these, but Sal’s naturally kind and caring nature made me feel at ease. And since I was travelling solo, I wanted to make sure I was with someone that could capture those moments beautifully, like Sal did. Even the photos that ended up darker from the harsher sunlight turned out to be stunning with his edits. My only regrets are that the tour couldn’t have lasted longer and that I wasn’t able to sign up for his Zurich tour! My husband and I celebrated our 25 th anniversary at Switzerland. To be honest Sal made our milestone a cherished memory to remember forever . We hired Sal for a private day tour through the Swiss countryside. Absolutely spectacular trip even though it rained throughout the day. You cannot go wrong with this quality organization and tour operator! I cannot say enough good things about Swiss Private Tours and Sal! I booked 2 tours for my 84 yr old parents: “Zurich City Tour” and the “Inner Switzerland” tour. I decided to go with Swiss Private Tours because 1) my parents both have limited mobility/difficulty walking and 2) they are not regular international travelers & are not very “in touch” with the digital world. I needed to find someone who would give them that little bit of extra patience & care they were going to need. Sal and Swiss Private Tours exceeded all my expectations/hopes in that regard!
Sal very helpful in the planning phase, answering my many questions and giving solid guidance. But where he really stood out was when things went sideways with my parents during their trip; he was absolutely amazing.
First, due to their advanced age and the fact that Zurich was their last stop on an extended trip, they got worn out and needed to cancel one of the 2 tours just days before it was scheduled so they could recover. Although we were well past the “refundable” date, Sal was terrific in working with us to find a fair resolution for all. I was extremely happy with how this turned out.
Secondly, the day before my parents were set to arrive in Zurich we learned that they would be unexpectedly delayed and would not arrive until well after 1am the night before they were supposed to tour. When this happened, it was already after working hours in Zurich and I was concerned that I wouldn't even be able to get in touch with anyone at Swiss Private Tours before the 8am pickup. Not to worry; Sal answered the phone after hours and within minutes had arranged to postpone their tour by one day with no problem. They were able to rest that day, experienced the “Inner Switzerland” tour the next day (customized to accommodate their difficulty walking), and had an amazing time with Sal.
